Professional background

Graduated Physics in 1991. However, in software development since 1992 to present, so here you have a bird-eye-view over my knowledge:

• for the moment, fiddling with the Java universe. I'm feeling no need to take trips in other programming languages, though I can if needed. AWT/SWING and graphics, io/networking, JDBC, servlet/JSP, EJB, xml/sax/xslt, java3D. Others are on their way (at least, I hope to have time to study them: encryption and JMF are first in the queue);
• web stuff: different flavors of markup languages (SGML, HTML, XML, XHTML, WML and related - like: DTD, XSchema, XSLT, CSS), JavaScript and DHTML;
• databases: mysql, Firebird, PostgreSQL, MS Sql Server, Sybase - mainly from the programming perspective, though with some experience as DBA. Anyway, I got over RDBMSes and the SQL language back in 1992 and ever since haven't had an year without at least one project requiring SQL;
• other programming languages: C/C++/Objective C, PHP. If digging deep into the past, I may resurrect some Pascal, Basic and Fortran, even some Forth and Postscript;
• multimedia: Macromedia (Flash - including ActionScript, Dreamweaver, Fireworks), some bits of GIMP, other bits of Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• strong experience with project management (since 1995)
